Exton Carjacking, Robbery Suspect Arrested In New York City

EXTON, PA — A man accused of robbing a store then carjacking a person in Exton has been arrested, according to police. West Whiteland Township Police said Andrew Joyner, 35, of New York was arrested Feb. 20 in New York City by members of the NYPD and NY/NJ Regional Fugitive Task Force. Joyner is accused of stealing items at Boscov's in the Exton Square Mall. Authorities allege Joyner and another man ran, identified as Gary Dunbar, from the mall to a nearby Starbucks where they forced a person out of their vehicle and drove off in the vehicle. A short chase with police ensued. The pair were last seen traveling east on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in a gray-blue Subaru Forester. Police said the two arrived at the mall in a black Range Rover, which has been found. Joyner is facing robbery, possession of an instrument of crime, fleeing police, terroristic threats, and more out of West Whiteland Township. A woman, 41-year-old Frances Walker of New York, is wanted in connection with that incident. Joyner is also believed to have broken into a Bala Cynwyd business earlier in February.
