Ave., announces: "After six long months, we are excited to share that the repairs to the gallery will soon be underway. As things progress we will have more information about our reopening, but for now we can tell you that the space will be refreshed with some great improvements, and we can't wait to celebrate our return with you." Last Aug. 28, a fire starting next door, at Thrive Juice Cafe, damaged the gallery, leading it to pop up at 108 Summer St., at the hub for Food Link, while repairs were made to the gallery space on Mass. Ave. A Special Project Printmaker Ted Ollier, at right, recently completed a special commission for one of our customers who was looking to have a custom piece of art made. Alice Lim came to us with an idea for a gift to surprise her husband and commemorate their trip to Iceland. Lim wanted the piece to visualize the volcanic activity from the Fagradallsfjall Volcano; Ollier's interest in science and turning data into art made him the perfect artist for this job. Working together with Lim, Ollier created a print that used embossing to visualize the fault lines in Iceland, and orange dots to show the areas where there were recorded earthquakes with a magnitude over 2.5.
