The Adler Arts Center, Libertyville's home for the arts, announces registration for a creative array of virtual adult and teen art classes. The Adler Center offers short sessions designed for busy adults interested in trying something creative at home. Classes begin in late September/early October. Adult & Teen Art Classes Illustrative Gouache (begins Sept. 18) Learn how to paint and illustrate using the gouache method of painting! Use opaque pigments and illustrative concepts to explore this colorful medium and leave each class with a postcard style piece of your very own. Experience welcome, but not necessary. #Inktober Workshop (begins Oct. 9) Inktober is a month long art challenge created by artist Jake Parker that is focused on improving skills and developing positive artistic habits. Join us for 4 weeks of workshops focusing on different mediums to help you explore and heighten your artistic abilities. Class focuses will include a variety of mediums. Family Art Workshops The Adler Arts Center is ready for a VERY special Halloween season. Seasonal family workshops include fantasy makeup and Día de los Muertos sessions the whole family will love. Saturday, Sept. 26. Halloween Bootcamp – Mermaids & Sea Creatures! Sunday, October 11. Halloween Bootcamp – Ghosts, Ghouls, & Monsters! Saturday, October 24. Día de los Muertos – A Family Workshop Music Lessons Registration is also open for individual music instruction in piano, voice, violin, viola, cello, guitar, ukulele, and saxophone.
