OCEAN CITY, NJ — Ocean City Mayor Jay A. Gillian announced that the proposed 2022 budget will include no increase to the municipal tax rate for the third time in the past four years. The announcement was made during Gillian's State of the City address he shared at the March 10 City Council meeting. He emphasized that the state of the city was stronger than it had ever been. "Every year, I challenge the city team to do more with less as we continue to take on more projects to improve our infrastructure and way of life," Gillian said. This is the first step in the budget process. At later meetings the budget will continue to be discussed and revised until a public hearing and vote is held. The entire proposed budget is available online. "We continue to make improvements to every part of town. We're adding new services and preserving the traditions we love. We have an experienced and dedicated city team that makes it all possible," Gillian said. "Ocean City remains a great place to live, work and play. Investments in Ocean City are sounder than ever."
