LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — Loudoun County's public schools will not open on Saturday, March 12. Winter weather is expected to arrive in the region on Saturday morning.
SAT events at Briar Woods, John Champe, Dominion, Lightridge and Woodgrove high schools are cancelled. The College Board will reach out to affected students with other testing options.
A bomb cyclone is expected to bring inclement winter weather to the region on Saturday morning. The weather event could dump up to 3 inches of precipitation in a short period of time.

The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory for Loudoun County. The advisory begins at 6 a.m. and will continue through 3 p.m. Loudoun County could see wind gusts over 50 miles per hour and temperatures as low as 20 degrees.
