MARIN COUNTY, CA – A Marin man who pleaded guilty to federal child pornography charges was sentenced to seven years in prison Monday, The Marin Independent Journal reports. John Baptist Delorimier Jr., who pleaded guilty in November 2020 to one count of possessing child pornography, was also ordered to pay $20,000 in restitution that will be shared among six of his victims, the report said. The 74-year-old Bolinas man is an artist and graphic designer who previously served as an assistant football coach for the Tamalpais and Marin Catholic high school football teams, The IJ reports. Delorimier's January 2020 arrest on suspicion of possessing obscene material followed a probe that originated with a tip from National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, according to the Marin County Sheriff's Office. The NCMEC alerted authorities that Delorimier was suspected of "soliciting, sharing and/or receiving nude photographs of minors via a web-based platform," the Sheriff's Office said in a statement at the time of his arrest. "Detectives identified Delorimier as the suspect during their investigation and determined he was residing at a residence in Bolinas, CA," the Sheriff's Office said. "A preliminary investigation into his personal electronic devices revealed material depicting obscene images of a minor." Read more in The Marin Independent Journal
