Multi-instrumentalist/beatmaker/songwriter seeks female vocalist for dark (but not depressing) dream pop project. Influences: '60s girl groups, '90 boom bap, Phil Spector, early Motown, Purity Ring, John Berry, Grouper, Angelo Badalamenti, My Bloody Valentine, Hood, Goldfrapp, krautrock, Portishead, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Patsy Cline, Nina Simone, Love Spirals Downward, Billie Holiday, the Cure, Massive Attack, Nico, Babybird, Dusty Baker, Cocteau Twins, Etta James, Julia Holter, Yo La Tengo, Emmylou Harris, Timbaland, Slowdive, Alvvays, Black Box Recorder, Ivy, old vocal jazz. Cinematic, literary, atmospheric. Versatility is a must, but I'm not looking for a virtuoso. Ability to play an instrument is not necessary. Although project image is important, gender expression and race are not. Willingness to collaborate and occasionally contribute to songwriting is preferred, but not necessary.
