LA GRANGE, IL – La Grange police released their latest blotter Friday. Here is information from the reports: Antwan Jeffries, 27, of Bellwood, was arrested about 10 p.m. March 4 in the 10 block of South La Grange Road on a charge of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon. According to a police report, officers responded to a call about a man, identified as Jeffries, who had fallen down. Officers patted down Jeffries and found a gun. Maurice Harris, 33, of Chicago, was arrested about 12:30 p.m. March 2 in the 10 block of Washington Avenue on a Chicago warrant charging criminal trespassing. Police came into contact with Harris as the result of an "unwanted subject" call.A catalytic converter was stolen from a car between December and March in the 600 block of E. 47th Street.A person in the 300 block of West Burlington Avenue told police Tuesday about receiving a $3,951 bill from a collection agency. The resident never made the purchases associated with the bill. No financial loss was reported. A person in the 700 block of South 10th Avenue told police Tuesday that someone opened a Home Depot credit card using the resident's personal information. Police report information is provided by local police departments. Charges are not evidence of guilt. They are a record of police actions on a given day, and people charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
