Description
It is with a heavy heart that I am looking for the perfect home for this guy of mine. He is 7 years old, and such a character! Here are the undeniable facts about him. His name is Fazzie Bear. I often call him the Fazzinator. Fazz is around 20 lbs, full poodle, and has so much personality! He is neutered, current on vaccines, and micro-chipped. He loves mornings, gets along with cats, and adores anyone he considers part of his family or pack. More facts...he only needs his family and can be slow to warm to new people. He has NEVER bit anyone. He gets along fine with other dogs. He doesn't like to "just" have his head pet. He will drop his head down if you just go to pet his head. He is fine if you are petting him and then pet his head. He has never been hit. I have had him since he was 7 weeks and he has always done this. He did have a few ear infections when he was young. Maybe that is why. But like I said, he is quircky. Fazzie is pretty much perfect. He sleeps on our beds, usually my son's, but in the morning when my alarm goes off, he is fast to get on my bed. He will roll onto his back, tuck his head into my neck, and rub his head against me to say "good morning." He goes to his bed when we feed him and waits until we say okay to go to his bowl to eat. He will cuddle on your lap for hours and lean into your arms like it is exactly where he was always meant to be. He quietly and happily will follow his people from room to room all day. Why am I rehoming him? My son and daughter-in-law just had a baby. My house is very full and one of Fazz's quirks is to bark when people come in the house. It is kind of goofy and it lasts for a bit, but with the baby, the tension in the house rises when he barks and the kids think it will wake the baby. It is a bit nuch when they step outside for 5 minutes or so, and are greeted with his barking. He knows them. But I think Fazz does this for anyone that is not in his "inner" circle. It lasts for a bit and then he is fine. But Fazz stops when Fazz is ready to stop, NOT when he is told to stop. He is better with a bark collar, but I don't think a bark collar worn all the time is the fix. When he is not wearing it and the Fed Ex guy comes to the door, or the kids are going in and out, he barks. What is Fazz's perfect home? A quiet household that doesn't have a lot of people coming and going. Or a family that doesn't mind the barking. He also requires a home that will be patient and give him time to "warm to you." He has always had other dogs, humans, and cats around, so he should not be a solitary animal if you are gone during the day. He would be terribly lonely. The Fazzinator will not go to just "any" home. I will screen families. Please send me some information about you and your family. I will reach out to those that seem like they may be a good match. I am rehoming him for $75, just to make sure people are serious and really want a companion. He deserves a special family. I will send pictures on request and look forward to hearing from you. Thank you for reading.
