Yemen remains one of the largest humanitarian crises in the world, with around 21 million people in need of humanitarian assistance, including more than 11 million children. Since the conflict escalated in March 2015, the country has become a living hell for the country’s children. Less than half of health-care institutions are operating, and many of those that are lack basic equipment. To raise awareness of this humanitarian crisis, and more importantly, to assist the families that have been affected by it all, the Yemeni Student Association at the University of Michigan has made preparations to host a fundraising dinner/iftar.
