LOS ANGELES, CA — Police on Saturday were searching for a suspect responsible for shooting a 31-year-old man to death.
On Friday around 12:30 a.m., police responded to a "shots fired" call in the 18400 block of Dearborn Street of Northridge, the Los Angeles Police Department wrote in a statement.
Upon arrival, officers found a man laying on the floor inside a bedroom suffering from a gun-shot wound. He was not identified pending notification of next of kin.
Investigators discovered that the suspect and the victim were involved in a dispute before the shooting. The suspect fled on foot shortly after.
Police also said the victim did not live where he was found dead.
