LIVERMORE, CA — The Livermore Public Library and the Livermore Heritage Guild will present "How the Livermore Lab Helped Avert A Nuclear War" at the library's April lecture series.
The lecture series is called "Then and Now: Livermore Stories" and it's a free local history program.
Tom Ramos will present the program on Zoom April 19 at 7:00 p.m. No registration is required.
Ramos will discuss the creation of the Berkeley and Livermore Radiation Laboratories. He'll tell the story of how the Livermore Lab created a national defense strategy against the Soviets and more.
