Description
LOUDON, NH — Firefighters and police were sent to Route 106 at Clough Hill Road Wednesday for a head-on crash.
At around 4:45 p.m., dispatch received a report of an accident at the intersection. The first arriving firefighter said there was "major damage" with "one person in the road." The road, he added, was closed.
At the scene, a GMC Denali pickup truck and an SUV showed heavy damage.
About a minute later, a second ambulance was called.
"We're going to need one," the firefighter told dispatch.
Dispatch then called Concord EMTs for mutual aid. Belmont EMTs also arrived along with Merrimack County Sheriffs Department officials who assisted after command reported five people injured with at least four requiring transport.
The roadway was closed for about an hour.
