I am 54 yrs. old and I have been a dog dad for the last 15 years or so and just lost my last one who passed in my arms on the 24th from heart problems. He was my everything, I got him as a rescue 2 yrs. ago he was almost 10y when he passed. My previous dog was my 1st rescue who I had for just over 12 yrs, he was almost 16y when he passed. I am looking for a small to medium size dog that needs a furever home. Needs to be house broken and preferably needs to be good around other animals and in good health. I would prefer a dog that is not real old somewhere around the 3-5 yr. old range, one who I can spend a lot of years with. I would love to have a sweet cuddle bug to curl up with and just relax. I do spend quite a bit of time in my little shop where it does get kinda loud so need a dog that doesn't mind loud noises. I have a natural ability it seems to form very strong bonds with dogs, more than even people, so fostering I can't do, I get very attached to my dogs. I am still semi active meaning I like to take them for walks or play in the yard. I am completely heart/soul-broken right now and really needing my next best friend. I can't take a large breed dog as I just don't have the room for them to really do well. But would love to have a smaller dog that could curl up in my lap and sleep next to me at night.
