Description
CONCORD, NH — New Hampshire State Police will be on extra patrols in Concord and the capital region looking for drunken drivers this weekend.
The department and troopers from Troop D are holding a DWI Saturation Patrol sometime during the weekend of Dec. 19.
"The program, approved by the NH Office of Highway Safety and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, provides federal highway safety funds to support these Saturation Patrols," said Lt. Chad Lavoie of Troop D. "The New Hampshire State Police has taken an aggressive stance to prevent persons from driving when impaired. New Hampshire has some of the most aggressive laws in the country to fight impaired driving and the law enforcement community will use those tools to their fullest extent."
It is unknown exactly where the patrols will take place beyond the "greater Concord area."
