Description

Are you a Bass Player that loves classic rock from the 70’s and 80’s but not the traditional bar band songs from that era? If so, read on to find out more about us and see if you would like to talk further. We are currently a male trio with PT Female Vocalist that lost our Bass Player due to his moving out of town. We have Guitar/Lead Vocals, Keyboards/Lead Vocals, Electric Drums/Vocals and PT Female Vocals. We are Vinyl Fusion ( www.vinylfusion.band ) where you can find our song list, previous recordings and photos. Even though we love the songs from the 70’s and 80’s, we use a modern silent stage setup and equipment like digital mixers and laptops. Our stage has no amps (except modeling), only small personal monitors, headphones or in-ear’s allowed. We self-mix FOH with our digital mixer using Wi-Fi on laptops and tablets. You mix your own individual monitor feed to your liking via an app. FOH is a QSC / Bose L1 PA system with LED lighting rigs. None of us though do this for the money (just ask our Sweetwater rep😊) We love playing music and playing out live is a goal, but nothing more than once a month maybe around 6-10 times in a year. Enough to have some fun with it, but stopping short of it becoming a job. What we are hoping you bring: A love of music with the ability to commit to practice and light gigging. An easy-going attitude as we will be hanging out a lot and want it to be a fun time for all. You have an electric bass with bass pedal (Boss) or model amp head or pedal. (No speaker Amp). Lead or backup vocals Song ideas that you would like to explore in addition to ours. A willingness to learn and use the technology used in today’s live music world. Recognize that while we want do our best we are only human and not a “Steel Dragons” cover band. Willing to play out in small venues for low pay to get our foot in the door. We rent a private rehearsal space just south of Tempe Marketplace on a monthly basis on Saturdays. We generally rehearse three Saturdays a month from about 1-5PM. We each pay $75 a month for the space. We do not store our equipment there, but is has a full QSC PA system, stools and stands. If you feel this is something you are interested in, reply to this ad and I will get back to you as quickly as I can and we can discuss further. Thanks, Tom
