Hi,
I am rehoming my female cat, Dutchess. She just turned 7 (birthday is 3/6/2015 ish) and is a Siamese mix. I have had Dutchess since she was 6 months old, before I had my first human baby. She has been with me through an abusive relationship, 4 or 5 moves, two kids…I do love her and it pains me to let her go. But my reason is that she has started peeing on things. I know cats don’t usually do that for NO reason, but unfortunately I am not in a position to get her seen by a vet to see what is going on. She has done this in the past and I had taken her to a vet at that point. I had recently moved and they chalked it up to being stressed related and said that she seems anxious, and that we could put her on Prozac or that there are other options such as Feliway spray/diffusers (pheromones). I had gotten the diffuser and it seemed to help, however they can get a bit pricy and I couldn’t continue to purchase them. I don’t know if maybe she is stressed out (I do have two kids now). I just can’t keep cleaning up cat urine. It’s disgusting and I won’t have my house smelling like a litter box. It’s not sanitary. At this point I want her to go to someone who will be able to give her the care she needs and allow her a peaceful place to spend the rest of her years. She is very sweet to the people she likes but can take time to warm up. I do feel she prefers women, and does okay with other calmer cats (but that’s iffy, she has been a lone cat most of her life). If you made it this far and are still interested in knowing more feel free to shoot me a message (text is easiest) and we can talk. I am not wanting to just give her to the first person interested and them turn around and flip her or something awful…she was my first baby and I will be particular about who she goes to. Thank you for your time!
