Description

We are looking to hire a hardworking, responsible Furniture Delivery Assistant who has experience working with high end furniture, either with an Interior Designer or a high-end furniture store. Special Deliveries caters to the needs of the top Interior Designers, Designer Showrooms, and Furniture Retailers offering numerous services to include professional and precise deliveries, thorough and inspected receiving, storage/warehousing, expert art installation, and blanket wrap service. Daily job responsibilities include: · Pulling furniture from our warehouse and loading onto the truck · Receiving, unpacking, and inspecting incoming furniture and product · Unloading furniture and product from trucks and ensuring proper placement in warehouse · Preparing furniture for delivery · Efficient installation and/or assembly of furniture at customer location · Simple furniture repair · Art / Mirror hanging · Daily interaction with clients providing excellent customer service · Sweeping, cleaning up work area Requirements: · Prefer some experience working with (i.e. moving, loading, receiving) high end furniture either with an Interior Designer or high-end furniture store · Simple furniture repair a plus · Art / Mirror hanging experience a plus · Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs and load and unload product utilizing proper material handling techniques and equipment · Must be timely, dependable, have strong attention to detail and take pride in your work · Must have strong customer service skills and a professional appearance · Must be willing to work as a team and take direction and feedback Pay and Benefits: · Pay = $16/hr - $18/hr depending on experience · Paid Sick Time after 90 days of employment · Paid holidays after 90 days of employment · Medical, dental, vision and life insurance benefits – portion paid by the company · Retirement plan with company match · Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday 7:30am – 4:00pm.
