Plant Nursery Worker - Hillsboro, OR We are interviewing and hiring now. 24 positions available. Seasonal position with potential to work past spring/summer season. We are seeking Nursery Workers to join our team! You will be working in the greenhouse pulling orders along with other duties. Responsibilities and Duties: *Work to pull product quickly and efficiently. Fast pace work. *Fill out paperwork properly and accurately when pulling orders. *Prepare products for shipment. *Package products. *Put shipping boxes together. *Load trucks according to delivery log when needed. *Alert Head Order Gatherer if there is a problem with the product quality or product availability. *Safeguard all section equipment/tools and returns to proper storage. *Use proper PPE for all tasks. Demonstrate safe working habits in all tasks including reporting all accidents to the supervisor immediately. *Organize plant trays for recycling. *Able to lift 20 to 60 lbs. *The job requires working outdoors in the elements, around machinery and soil. When working in the greenhouses the temperatures fluctuate depending on the style of the greenhouse. ​ Qualifications: * Availability to work some overtime and weekends * Heavy physical work, must be able to do the heavy lifting (30 to 40 pounds) * Must be able to withstand a lot of standing, walking, kneeling, and bending over * Demonstrate the ability to learn and maintain productivity expectations * Ability to match and identify plant materials (Will train plant tag types) * Ability to use basic math skills (adding and subtracting) * Must be team-oriented and communicate well with peers * Good hand and eye coordination **PLEASE APPLY TO BE CONSIDERED** Job Type: Full-time seasonal from end of March 2022 to June 2022 Salary $14 to $15 depending on experience Work experience: - Shipping: 6 months preferred but not necessary.
