Floral design exhibits/demos, botanical arts, photography and horticulture PLUS purchase/sharpen hand tools/Tour tickets, student awards. Tulsa Garden Club stages its standard flower show, “Friends from Sea to Sea.” FREE and open to the public, 1-4pm, at Tulsa Garden Center. Visitors will experience exhibits translating the global floral and cultural theme through horticulture specimens, floral artistry, botanical arts (including photography), and educational exhibits in accordance with National Garden Clubs, Inc. Standard System of Awards. PLUS Local knife sharpener Arvid Dodd will be available to hone gardening hand tools for nominal fees.Garden Kiosk will have aprons, tools, Advance and raffle tickets for May 14 Garden Tour available for purchaseMember Delores Comfort will demonstrate creative floral design at 1:30pm, 2:30pm and, again, at 3:30pmAt 2pm, elementary students will be recognized for their entries in this year’s Woodsy Owl and Smokey Bear poster contest. The contest is a decades-long partnership with National Garden Clubs (NGC) and U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service.Beautifying Tulsa since 1929, Tulsa Garden Club engages the community through gardening education. The Club's mission is to embrace civic and environmental responsibilities by providing education, resources, and networking to promote the love of gardening. Staging and presenting standard flower shows anchors the Club's commitment to public education.
