Gain a deeper understanding of the personal and collective cost of war for combat veterans and families as they live with invisible wounds. Event takes place May 12, 7- 8:30 pm at Stocker Arts Center on the campus of Lorain County Community College. You will meet veterans whose work is included in the photo exhibit Odyssey l Warriors Come Home. The images represented in this exhibit explore the challenges they faced while at war giving them a voice through these images what they could never express with words alone. See the screening of the film documentary Blood Stripe l a Spouse’s Story which explores one woman’s real-life struggle with the long-term effects of her Marine husband’s service in Iraq and their journey to a new normal. Guest speaker Babe Kwasniak veteran and Civilian Aide Secretary to the Army will discuss suicide prevention.
