Explore Evergreen, the Gilded Age mansion owned by two generations of the Garrett family. Evergreen Museum & Library is housed in a Gilded Age mansion surrounded by 26 acres of gardens and woods. The museum is home to a renowned collection of fine and decorative arts, rare books, and manuscripts assembled by two generations of Baltimore’s civic-minded Garrett family (1878-1952). Through guided tours, visitors can explore the history of the Garretts, their extraordinary collections, and Evergreen’s transformation from a country villa to a historic house museum. VISITOR INFORMATION Evergreen Museum & Library adheres to all Johns Hopkins University COVID-19 policies. When inside the museum, all visitors are REQUIRED to wear an N95 mask, a KN95 mask, or a combination of a cloth mask with a surgical mask. Visitors outside do not have to wear a mask. The tour takes about 1 hour to complete Due to the historical nature of the building, accessibility is limited, and some parts of the museum can only be reached via stairs Free parking is available Free self-guided tours of the gardens and grounds are included in admission
