Seeking an experienced Turf and Lawn Application Tech to maintain athletic fields. Applicants must have experience in cutting commercial grass and have an active pesticide license to apply fertilizer and herbicides. Ideal candidate will have golf course experience in using commercial mowers and spray equipment. Responsibilities Include: • Monitor, diagnose and treat insect, disease, physiological and cultural conditions; select the most appropriate product/treatment to be utilized for each problem. • Complete diagnostic reports and provide comprehensive, thorough information to create an ideal environment for optimum health of landscape. • Run spray and application equipment, including rider spreader. • Mow, aerify, top-dress, and sod/sprig/seed both new and existing turf • Spread granular fertilizer and liquid spray applications • Perform other duties as assigned, which may not be included in the job description. • Using hand tools, power tools and/or equipment to perform turf maintenance duties Active pesticide license to apply fertilizer and herbicides A valid drivers license is required with a good driving record. Start April 11 to December 1.
