Stinging Nettle Pesto Cooking Class with field trip. Learn how to harvest and prepare stinging nettles and take home your delicious pesto!
For this class, we meet at our office in Brinnon and caravan to a nearby site to learn about native stinging nettles. Our Foraged Food Chef, Nancy Smith, will teach you when and how best to harvest this delicious and nutritious plant. Then we head back to the commercial kitchen to learn how to make Stinging Nettle Pesto! You will take your creation home to serve on your own pasta, chicken dish or bruschetta! Please bring your WA State Park Discovery Pass if you have one.
