4-Year-Old Killed While Riding Bike When Pickup Hits Him

MANCHESTER, NH - A 4-year-old boy was killed Thursday after police say that the youth was struck by a vehicle that was found with a single occupant parked nearby. Manchester Police were called to the area of Flaherty Lane and the alley south of Schuyler Street at around 3 p.m. for a report of a child hit by a vehicle. On arrival, officers located the boy lying in the alley. The child was unconscious and not breathing. MPD Spokesperson Heather Hamel that a GMC pickup truck with one occupant was located parked nearby. Through their investigation police determined that the 39-year-old male driver had been taking a right turn into the alley and struck the child. The circumstances surrounding this accident are still under investigation and currently no charges have been filed.
