19 March, 2022

Description

Join Black Men Run for a 1,3, 5-mile run/walk for black health. Our runs are reserved for all who identify as Black Men; masks encouraged. Why We Run: If you live in historically Black Roxbury you can expect to live to 58; If you live in Back Bay you can expect to live to 91…these adjacent neighborhoods are only three miles apart. Black Men Run Boston is working to make facts like these obsolete. We are a community rooted in love and centered on Black male health and wellness through running and growing together. We create space for all Black Men and we practice four values: Brotherhood, Reflection, Unity, and Health. The most radical thing a Black man can do is to love himself enough to be authentically himself. Our runs are reserved as an identity space for all who identify as Black Men; we don’t leave brothers behind. When We Run: Run, walk, or bike with us Saturday Mornings at 8am; 1, 3, or 5 mile distances can be expected. Our run locations tend to be Peabody Square in Dorchester and Nubian Square in Roxbury but are subject to change. Follow us on Instagram @bmrboston for the latest details; RSVP here for a drop-in run! All in-person events require a mask. To join us virtually please use the tag #blackmenrunbos on social media. Our runs are reserved for all who identify as Black Men, unless otherwise noted.
