Houghton Housing Commission is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join their team in Houghton, Michigan. Maintenance Technicians are responsible for the general maintenance of apartment buildings and family homes, including but not limited to painting, cleaning, general repairs, lawn care, and snow removal. To perform these duties successfully, they will have contact with coworkers and residents of our rental properties. WAGE/BENEFITS: Houghton Housing Commission puts great value in the Maintenance Technician position by offer a wage of $15 - $20 per hour and a benefits package including health, dental, vision, and life insurance, PTO, and retirement plan. SCHEDULE: This is full time, day shift position running Monday - Friday, 8 hours per shift. This schedule is rotating with on-call hours during nights, weekends, and holidays. Opportunity for overtime is available. QUALIFICATIONS *High School Diploma required.  *Valid Driver's License required.  *Ability to operate snow blower, plow truck, lawn mower, and carpet cleaners. *Ability to lift or move up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as walking, standing, and bending. *Willing to develop an interest in assisting the elderly and handicapped of our community. *Adhere to all workplace policies and procedures. *Ability to work independently at times while also working collegially and professionally with coworkers and residents. *Strong interpersonal and communication skills, work ethic, and positive attitude HOW TO APPLY: Resumes can be sent to [email protected].
