LEMONT, IL — Lemont Township Trustee Michael Shackel has been appointed to township supervisor after the resignation of former supervisor Steven Rosendahl. According to a release from the township, Rosendahl has served as township supervisor since 2005. His resignation was effective Aug. 15, and Shackel, who was appointed to the position of trustee in January, has now been appointed as supervisor. The township board is now seeking candidates for the position of township trustee, a release states.
