LEMONT, IL — After a marathon political campaign, Election Day 2020 is finally here. This year's election might look a bit different because of the pandemic. Record numbers of people have already voted early and by mail. But if you're heading out to the polls to vote in person -- or have already voted today -- we want to hear from you. Voting In Lemont: Everything You Need To Know In addition to voting on president, some state and local races, voters are being asked to vote on the Graduated Income Tax Amendment. A "yes" vote supports repealing the state's constitutional requirement that the state personal income tax be a flat rate and instead allow the state to enact legislation for a graduated income tax.A "no" vote opposes this constitutional amendment, thus continuing to require that the state personal income tax be a flat rate and prohibit a graduated income tax.
