Hello all, Losing a pet or personal object can be a very emotionally trying time, and there are those who would take advantage of a vulnerable situation for the purposes of their own gain. Please beware of the following: - being asked for a finders fee - the person contacting you asking for a code to validate your phone number - the person contacting you not being willing to send a picture or to call/text you ALWAYS: -ask for a picture of your pet or lost object, or better yet a FaceTime/video chat -meet during the DAY in PUBLIC to recover your lost pet or object. -take a trusted friend or family member with you to meet a stranger Some scams are done to steal your our identity while others put you at risk of robbery and/or assault. If something feels wrong, listen to that gut feeling! It is a warning! Please stay safe and take care! May you never fall prey to bad intentions of unscrupulous people.
