Weekend - Custodian Position Overview Temple Emunah in Lexington MA, is currently seeking a part-time, weekend, Thursday through Sunday (including Sunday) custodian, who will be responsible for ensuring proper maintenance of the physical premises and successful operation of religious services and special social events. The ideal candidate will need to be comfortable assuming a high level of accountability, while also willing to perform basic tasks as required. Reports to Congregational Director. Status: Part-time (20-35 hours): Thursday through Sunday. Job Description: • Cleans all floor areas daily, including dusting, washing, vacuuming, cleaning glass doors. • Snow removal during winter • Setup and breakup events • Removes and empties all trash daily • Thoroughly cleans and sanitizes all bathrooms daily • Informs supervisor of supplies that are needed • If the last person in the building maintains the security of the building before departure • assists with snow and debris removal if needed • Kitchen up keeping and cleanup • Ability to use a computer for email, or phone for text messages. Update and report of issues in English. Ability to understand and follow both written and oral direction in English • Able to lead and support safety actions, policies, and procedures • Ability to work with minimal or no supervision - be an effective self-starter, independent and at the same time team player • Willingness to understand and respect Jewish laws and practices Required Experience: • Experience in general cleaning of buildings and grounds Special Requirements: • Flexibility to work additional hours, as needed, during peak times • Job Type: Part to full time. Benefits optionsl. Salary: $18.00 to $21.00 /hour Required education: • High school or equivalent PHYSICAL DEMANDS Must regularly lift and move up to 70 lbs., frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs., and.
