Come learn the principles of the Stop the Bleed Basic Instruction Course in a fun, easy, and informative class
Stop the Bleed is a national awareness campaign and call-to-action. Stop the Bleed is intended to cultivate grassroots efforts that encourage bystanders to become trained, equipped, and empowered to help in a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives. This class is free to the public.
In 60 minutes, participants will learn how to recognize life-threatening bleeding and intervene by applying a tourniquet to an arm or leg, or by packing a wound with gauze or cloth and holding pressure. The actions by an immediate responder, which this course will teach you how to be, can save a life!
The class will be held in the auditorium on the first floor of the Professional Building #5 at the southern tip of the Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas campus. Parking is FREE!
Afterwards, attendees to this class are most welcome to stay for the Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) class which runs from 9:00am to 12:00pm. Past CRASE attendees have joined the host and instructors for lunch afterwards at Enchilada's Mexican Restaurant at 7050 Greenville Avenue (0.4 miles away). We will be doing that again.
See bottom of event page for link for free registration to CRASE.
