Classes for Blacksmithing being offered 8yr and up $40, $60, $100, $`150 $250. Sign up to join us for a fun experience. Call 828-966-7220 These women were having a blast. Yeah, so were the boys. Who do you think were having more fun? We have classes for groups, individuals, and private. Children starting at age 8 years old with a parent. Learn to make many items with metal. We have many items to choose from. $40 pick 1, horseshoe knife, horseshoe fish, steak turner, oyster shucker, bottle opener. $60 pick 1, twisted handle pairs, dinner bell, fire poker, camp fire fork. $100 a wrench knife, $150 black smith knife w/sheath. $250, high carbon knife w/stabilized handle and sheath. Sheaths and handles are an additional charge. Everyone wear closed toed shoes and long pants; we provide the safety googles. When you want to have a good time and have good memories and something to remember when you return home. Come forge with us because you will have a good time, and You will have an item you made. Look, Jason has become the new Forged in Fire Meme. Hi, My name is Jason Brown, I have been blacksmithing for 15 years. I received a Welding for Artist Certificate from Blue Ridge College, and I was a Finalist on the Forged- in- Fire, Season 5 Episode 39. I have been teaching blacksmithing for 13 years. My daughter, Monique Brown, has been blacksmithing for 12 years, and she is teaching blacksmithing. Our future plans are to meet our customers and the communities needs with metal fabricating. Jason's future plan is to build custom doors with wood, stone, metal, and glass. Thank You. Monique and Student make a horse shoe knife. He was amazed to see a horseshoe made into a knife. Jason, Monique, and Matt McGregor, the Transylvania Times News Paper Reporter, came to write his last story on Jason opening the Village Blacksmiths in the Brevard, NC, area. Matt McGregor wrote the story on Jason when he finished Forged in Fire in Season 5, Espisode 39 in 2019. We were happy to have him visit and take a class with Jason to make his own horse shoe knife that looked like an old fashion razor. Matt was amazed at how much it took to swing a hammer and pound a horseshoe into a knife. The story included all the owners , Jason Brown, Monique Brown here at Village Blacksmiths. Monday, July 5, 2021 edition . Summer Brown, our daughter, gave blacksmithing a try for the first time. She made a leaf and a steak turner. Jason teaching how to make a ruin pendent and a horseshoe knife. Wow, that's so cool. This fella went to town on making his ruin pendant. He wrote the meaning of his name in another language. Pretty good right. Great job. Him and his brother had a blast.
