This presentation will focus on the impact of trauma on child development. It is important that the attorney considers and recognizes how the impact of trauma from being in the system can impact the client’s mentality and how the resultant shift in change can affect the client’s ability to communicate in the future. By utilizing language strategies, communication with clients can become more engaging, help develop a more meaningful and trusting relationship and help lower any traumatic impact from being in the court system.
