Click here to view the original story. NOTE: These numbers do not include people who tested positive with at-home antigen tests. Stop the Spread COVID-19 Testing Sites The State run Stop the Spread testing sites will downsize to 11 sites across the Commonwealth effective April 1, 2022. This is due to a rapid decline in usage from residents across locations, with an 80% decrease in volume since the beginning of January. Locations remaining open were selected by volume of testing and geographic equity. The sites are located in Everett, Framingham, Lawrence, Lynn, New Bedford, Randolph, Revere, Springfield, and Worcester. These sites will continue to operate through at least May 15, 2022. Stop the Spread sites remain free to any Massachusetts resident, with no insurance or ID necessary. More information can be found on the State's website: www.mass.gov/covid-19-testing.  COVID-19 Vaccine Residents 5 years and older are eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine and residents 12 years and older are eligible to get a COVID-19 booster. The Board encourages anyone who is eligible to get vaccinated. Vaccine appointments can be scheduled at vaxfinder.mass.gov/. Upcoming Board of Health Permitting As Spring approaches, the following Board of Health permits will be expiring and require renewal: Domestic Animals (chickens) – expire June 30th Pools, Saunas, Steam Rooms – expire June 30th Tanning Facilities – expire June 30th Other businesses such as Farmers Market food vendors and recreational camp for children operators must also apply for permits before beginning seasonal operations.
