Description
NAPERVILLE, IL — A pedestrian was hit by Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) train near Naperville Thursday, according to information from Metra.
Train #1285 was stopped near Naperville just before 9 p.m. after it struck a pedestrian. Trains were delayed for more than two hours after the incident.
Earlier Thursday, service was delayed after a conductor thought he struck a pedestrian near LaGrange, but it was later determined he did not. That incident took place around 5:30 a.m., close to the train station on Stone Avenue.
Metra's media relations department did not immediately respond to Patch's request for additional information Friday morning.
