JOLIET, IL — Jaelyn Deon Gant, a 28-year-old Joliet man already in the Will County Jail in connection with a shooting and armed robbery at the Domino's Pizza on Collins Street, now faces felony charges in connection with the Wendy's robbery from January 2021. This week, Will County prosecutors have charged Gant with attempted aggravated robbery in connection with the crime at the Wendy's. The Joliet Police Department obtained a warrant for Gant's arrest, and Will County Judge Victoria Breslin has set Gant's bail at $150,000. On the morning of Jan. 22, 2021, a man approached the Joliet Wendy's restaurant drive-thru window on South Larkin Avenue, lifting his shirt, revealing a gun in his waistband.
