Description
His name is Simon, he is not hand tamed but is not mean at all. He kinda just likes to hang out by himself. We've tried to get him to hang out outside of his cage more and leave the cage doors open all day but he just prefers to hang out inside his cage. He's been through some crap, when we first got him he was plucked clean living in a super rusty cage with only one toy thing inside but it had been chewed clean and we couldn't even get it off the cage because the clip thing was rusted completely shut. He's got his feathers back now, does not pluck, and has a WAY nicer cage now with plenty of toys. He will come with that newer nicer cage, his toys, and some of his food. He doesn't talk much but he does mumble sometimes and makes a lot of whistles and beeps and sound effects like trucks backing up and doors shutting. He is so fun to be around and is never loud (which is something that can't be said about most birds, especially other african greys) but he will throw cute little fits if he wants food and you aren't giving him any where he'll grab his bell toy and fling it against the wall of his cage and beep. I love him so much and never planned to rehome him, but with it costing what it costs now to fill up a gas tank we're literally losing money by going to work and I just had a very unexpected surgery on Monday. We just can't afford to do it anymore. It breaks my heart but I don't know how we're supposed to survive this without downsizing. We are asking $700, for him and his cage and his food. We've invested a LOT more than that into him and that's literally like less than half of what I've seen people sell them for from breeders and in stores, where they don't even come with their supplies. Please let me know if you have any questions :)
