This beautiful and smart year old girl has been in a home/family environment since birth. She is looking for a new forever family as she has not been able to integrate with the dogs in the family that adopted her. She needs a family that will give her lots of attention, training and play time. Thunder is best suited to a home with no other pets at this time, but with the right socialization and training it is likely she could do well with other pets eventually. She is currently with her litter mate/brother Buddy who is also looking for his forever home & they would do very well being homed together if you are looking for litter mates! Thunder loves training time, does well with a challenge and wants to please. She also wants to be the dominant one, so would do well in a family that can give her boundaries and structure. Some challenges with Thunder are that she has shown very strong aggression with other female dogs, in trying to assert dominance. Thunder also has a history of jumping over a 4 foot fence, a home with a secure 6 foot fence would be an ideal situation. Thunder has picked up the bad habit of excitedly jumping up on people recently, and is slowly learning it’s not okay. Some positive things about her are that she loves snuggling with her people, especially at night. She has some experience with small children and babies, has always been very curious and gentle. Thunder loves playing fetch, sits well on command, does not show any aggression around food (sits and waits until released to eat). She loves going on car rides and walks.
