Fire Rips Through Murrieta Home, Displacing Family Of 7

MURRIETA, CA — Fire erupted at a Murrieta home Wednesday, displacing a family of seven, Patch has learned. The Murrieta Fire Department arrived at the home in the 26000 block of Isabella Place — in the area of Murrieta Hot Springs Road and Jackson Avenue — just after 11 p.m., officials said. Images from the scene showed flames roaring out of upstairs windows, while smoke billowed from three sides of the home. Photo: Courtesy Joe Fanaselle Firefighters initially attacked the blaze from outside while preventing the blaze from spreading to neighboring homes. They doused the fire within 15 minutes and then used a large fan to ventilate smoke from the home, making sure the fire was fully extinguished. No residents were hurt, and no firefighters were injured battling the blaze, according to Murrieta Fire Department spokeswoman Dawn Morrison. There was no mention of pets being left inside the burning home. The family can use the card to buy food or purchase other necessities while they are displaced. The cause of the fire remained under investigation as of Thursday morning.
