We are currently seeking individuals with a passion for working with the aging population, who like to work in a positive environment and grow within an organization. Chandler Hall, a non-profit, Quaker facility, and Kendal affiliate, provides high-quality care for older adults in Newtown, Bucks County and offers a wide spectrum of services for individuals at all stages of the aging process including Community Living, Personal Care, Residential Hospice, Home Hospice, Independent Living, Respite Care, and Skilled Nursing Care. We are currently seeking a Clinical Care and Hospitality Educator to provide clinical and hospitality training to our staff, preferably an RN/LPN or related education experience. This is a part time role, working 20-25 hours per week. The Clinical and Hospitality Educator is responsible for establishing a regular process for evaluating the clinical skills of all Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and Care Partners shortly after starting at Chandler Hall and providing any additional training they might need to pass Chandler Hall’s Competency Evaluation. This position includes the responsibility of creating a system for ongoing review and updating of skills for all CNAs and Care Partners. In addition, this individual will be responsible for creating a “Hospitality Training Program” along with an implementation schedule for the entire campus. Job Duties and Responsibilities Clinical Training and Evaluations: 1. Collaborates with the Leadership team in creating a skills assessment program for CNAs and Care Givers along with a schedule to assure all new employees are reviewed and their skills reassessed and confirm on a regular schedule. 2. Provides support to the whole community with these training programs and ongoing evaluations and training/retraining. Creates or secures all necessary materials to successfully train and test staff’s needed proficiencies. 3. Tracking documentation of training. 4. Participates and provides education for the new hire orientation program and department orientations. 5. Helps create a positive culture and working environment by facilitating hospitality training, with a focus on resident care, customer service and Quaker values and tradition. 6. Supports the nursing employees and ancillary staff in achieving excellence in resident care. 7. Must be flexible with hours to meet the needs of the community. Hospitality Training: 1. Collaborate with Leadership to identify/create a campus wide program aimed at increasing hospitality skills of all employees 2. Create a schedule to assure all staff, throughout Chandler Hall, receive training to improve their hospitality skills. 3. Include in the hospitality program, training on “recovery” when a resident or family member raises a concern along. 4. Include in the hospitality program skills to help de-escalate situations that might arise with residents, families and other staff. 5. Track all training to help assure all staff receive this training Education, Experience and Competencies RN/LPN preferred/ and or Degree in related field. Experience as a clinical/customer service trainer. Strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks; ability to handle most tasks independently; and be detail oriented. Excellent communication, interpersonal, written and organizational skills. Positive, energetic, upbeat personality. Confidence in delivering educational and training programs.
