Alzheimer's Fundraiser Returns To Angel Stadium This Month

IRVINE, CA — Nonprofit organization Alzheimer's Orange County will bring back its annual Walk4ALZ and Run4ALZ fundraising event to Angel Stadium on March 19 after the pandemic forced it to go on a brief hiatus. There is no cost for walkers to participate in the event, but there is a $30 registration for runners, the Irvine-based nonprofit organization said. On-site registration starts at 8 a.m., and attendees should arrive at Angel Stadium through Gene Autry Way. Participants are encouraged to fundraise for the event, and donations of at least $50 will receive an event t-shirt, the nonprofit said. Alzheimer's Orange County said it hopes more than 5,000 walkers and runners will come out for the fundraiser. Jim McAleer, the nonprofit's president, said 100% of the money raised during the event will stay in Orange County to "help the thousands of local residents who are currently affected by Alzheimer's disease and dementia."
