bass player looking to start a funk/soul band

I am looking to start with covers and create a top notch soul/funk review and eventually work on originals as well. I am 47 and prefer to work with folks 35-55. I want this to be a show band and that means dressing the part for shows. No shorts and flip flops. I am not opposed to joining the right situation but please don't hit me up with classic rock or gospel as I am not interested.
