My family is looking to rehome their dog. My dad has spent the last 3 months in the hospital and will be coming home soon. My family cannot handle this dog due to his hyperactive nature and their inability to train him properly. His name is Diesel and he is 3 years old. He barks almost constantly during the day and is always running around in the background doing “surveillance”. My family had a German shepherd in the past that was lazy and was well behaved so they expected a similar result with Diesel but that was of course not the case. He has snapped at strangers in the past but if he gets to know someone, he begins to love them. My parents went to a breeder and paid $800 for him and to be honest I believe they got scammed. There something unique about his body shape and it doesn’t seem healthy. This dog deserves soooooooo much more. He deserves a large backyard to run around in, walks, good food and good love. He loves his family and it’s a shame that my parents purchased him with little time to invest into him. He would make an excellent guard dog and is very protective.
