APPLICATION DEADLINE: Friday, April 22, 2022 at 4:30 p.m. SEASONAL: Ability to work up to 8 hours per day between 6:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. including weekends as needed. 24-40 hours per week. No more than 1,000 hours for the season. No benefits except for accrual of one hour of sick leave for every 30 hours worked. This is a temporary position that supplements the District’s Utility Crew during the busy summer season. Work is primarily custodial in nature, spending roughly half of the day independently cleaning public restrooms, emptying trash cans, and landscaping grounds. Assists full-time Port Maintenance Workers in performing a variety of general facilities and equipment maintenance tasks. REGULAR: Under supervision, performs a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled tasks in the maintenance and operation of the Port; cleans and maintains buildings and Port property; cleans restrooms and beach areas emptying trash barrels and removing debris from sand and parking areas; acts as part of pier maintenance crew involved in heavy manual labor repair and reconstruction of pier structures; acts as part of crew assigned to repair and maintain buildings, streets, or other land areas; acts as deckhand on LCM-6 crew, pulling, repairing, and replacing moorage tackle and performing other waterside duties, including waterside fire suppression; may assist mechanic in fabrication of parts, tools, or in performing mechanical repair functions; and performs other duties as required.
