meet Tanooki! He is a gorgeous 1 year old blue & gray male parakeet. I am trying to rehome him to someone who already has a parakeet because he needs a friend. I had bought two parakeets so they wouldn’t be lonely but someone left my bird-room door open and sadly his cage-mate died because of it. he has become less social because he is lonely and I don’t have the time to tame another bird for him to have a friend. he does know his own name. his flight wings are not trimmed so he is used to being let out from time to time and he will become very vocal when he wants out. if you have a safe area for him to fly around in, he would love that! his X-large cage will go with him along with food, treats, toys and food/water dishes and bowl. he nibbles your finger when you hold him but he doesn’t bite hard. since his friend passed, he is less ok with being held or handled so he will need time spent with him. I would rather him go to a house without cats (that’s how his cage mate died). asking $100 to ensure a good home and given the amount of stuff going with him. pickup or meet local, Plymouth, Ohio
