Palomar Health Medical Group (PHMG) is looking for a Maintenance Mechanic I for our Maintenance Department. This is a temporary to permanent position. Certification/Registration: Current CA Driver’s License *May use your own vehicle for travel* The following are essential job duties and percentage of time: - Complete various maintenance functions as required. - Assures complete and proper logging of files and records and required cost computation of time spent, materials and supplies used for each completed requisition or work order. - Dismantles moves, installs or repairs machinery and mechanical equipment, and/or furniture. - Coordinates various maintenance issues with outside contractors, electrical, plumbing, janitor and air conditioning companies. - Regularly repairs and maintains elements of the facility. Installs various types of equipment without direct supervision in accordance with plans, procedures, and blueprints or instruction manuals. - Works on or coordinates plumbing repairs and upkeep on the systems including hot and cold water systems and sewage systems, including: sinks, showers and toilets and the related hardware. - Responsible for ordering repair parts as necessary for completion of tasks in accordance with approved policies and budgetary constraints from various outside agencies.
