Responsibilities Safety • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts • Check equipment for proper performance • Clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance on machinery • Diagnose faults and malfunctions using testing equipment • Inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions • Service attachments and working tools • Test repaired equipment Education • Apprenticeship completed • Courses completed in heavy equipment repair • High School Diploma (or equivalent) • Some secondary school education Qualifications • Previous experience in a related industry • Previous experience with heavy equipment mechanics • Trade certification Skills • Adapt to a variety of situations • Good hearing • Good manual dexterity • Great attention to detail • Knowledge of technological developments • Shows initiative • Solves problems effectively • Well organized Compensation $18 - $38 per hour Position Type Full-Time Benefits 401K, paid holidays, vacation, bonus, and a good working environment.
