- This position requires in depth knowledge of heavy equipment machinery such as,623 Scrapers, Skip Loaders, Excavators, Loaders, Bob cats, Water trucks, Blades, Dozers their functions and how to maintain and perform maintenance work on all equipment mechanic will be performing service maintenance for heavy construction machinery and/ or related equipment or components such as engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, electrical, computer and structural repairs including welding. Capable of diagnosing, troubleshooting, and providing quality repairs on Construction Equipment in both shop and field environment. Qualifications: -Must be able to read wiring diagrams and have an understanding of basic hydraulic and electrical systems -Hydraulic diagnosis and troubleshooting -Perform diagnostics at yard and customer job sites -Utilize computer diagnostic equipment -Perform factory recommended preventative maintenance and inspection -Welding (All forms of welding required) -Standard checkout procedures and proper function tests of machine -Candidate must be able to adapt to a fast-changing environment and job duties -Diesel engines (common rail systems electronic injectors/ Catalytic converter) -Cleaning equipment with a hot pressure washer -This position requires a high level of physical activity -Customer Service oriented -Must have a valid driver's license and clean DMV record -The highest level of professionalism and customer interaction are also required. Applicant must be dependable, and detail oriented. Applicant must provide a current driving record, and pass a background and drug screening test, contingent on this job offer. This is a full time position, Monday through Friday, Immediate opening, Medical Insurance offered. Anything above 50 pounds will require a forklift, etc. as necessary. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
