Animal Supply Company Shipping Loader $17.50/hr 1315 Brewster Creek Blvd, Bartlett, IL 60103 We’re looking for a Shipping Loader to join our team! The Shipping Loader… is responsible for loading outbound product onto trailers while monitoring and ensuring product accuracy and quality. As a Shipping Loader, you will: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. • Arrive on time, take scheduled breaks and lunch and complete daily work assignments. • Communicate any receiving variances timely with Operations management. • Load palates into trailer for delivery to retailers • Fill out associated paperwork with outbound product • Set up work area. • Shrink wrap/stage pallets. • Responsible for multiple shipping lanes. • Secure loads to prevent damage • Clean and maintain assigned storage locations. • Use assigned tools and equipment safely and as instructed to minimize equipment damage to product. • When loading assignment is completed, be available to fill in for other roles/zones as needed. • Responsible for meeting or exceeding accuracy expectations and productivity minimums as directed by Operations management. • Promote a safe work environment at all times by modeling desired behaviors for self and others. • Bring any concerns or issues promptly to shift supervisor or other members of Operations management. • Meet or exceed all company safety and performance expectations, follow all handbook and operations policies and procedures. Do you have the following qualities? • Ability to complete daily workload as instructed in a high volume, deadline-driven environment • Ability to read Tote Packs, purchase orders, product location codes, customer order labels, and all other shipping documents and match to visible items and other data • Effectively communicate with others to discuss/confirm written information and/or give verbal directions to peers • Ability to perform computer lookups/inquiries to determine product locations • Vast product knowledge • Ability to operate forklift, powered pallet jack safely • Self-motivated, well-organized, good decision-making skills, and ability to communicate on a professional level • Positive attitude, team focus – successful working both independently and cooperatively with peers • Knowledge and practice of safe lifting techniques Your education & experience should be similar to: • HS diploma or GED desired • Previous warehouse/distribution experience required; certified forklift operator preferred. Working conditions: Warehouse environment with variable temperatures/outdoor weather conditions, exposure to noise and vibrations from forklifts/other equipment, will work near moving mechanical parts, such as lifts Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
